ANNOUNCEMENTS:

*No Public Mass on Monday: Father will be out of town, therefore there will be no scheduled Mass on Monday.

*Prayers Requested: Please pray for the sick in the parish especially, Lucy Muscarnera, Jessie Gaines, Holly Hightower, Max and Karen Hartman, and Carl Lukkes.

*Calendars: There are Calendars for the year, 2018, for sale in the Book Store. A Catholic Calendar is helpful to have in the house in order to be reminded on which days are the Holy days of obligation, when one is to fast and abstain etc.

*Indulgences for the Poor Souls: Please remember the Souls in Purgatory this month. If one takes part in the public prayers prayed after Mass for the dead one may gain an indulgence of seven years. One can gain a plenary indulgence for the Poor Souls if one attends fifteen of these exercises.

*Holy Hour: There will be Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament during a Holy Hour on Thursday November 30, starting at 7:00 p.m. This is in response to the Sacred Heart of Jesus’ request to St. Margaret Mary. He asks each of us: “Could you not watch one hour with Me?”

*Mater Dei Seminary: Next week there will be a second collection for Mater Dei Seminary

*Christmas choir practice: If you would like to sing for Christmas Midnight Mass, please see Sister Jeanne Marie, CMD.

*St. Nicholas will be visiting the Children after Mass next Sunday in the Parish Hall.

St. Andrew Christmas Novena

(It begins on the feast of St. Andrew and is prayed 15 times each day)

Hail and blessed be the hour and moment in which the Son of God was born of the most pure Blessed Virgin Mary, at midnight, in Bethlehem, in the piercing cold. In that hour vouchsafe, O my God, to hear my prayer and grant my petitions through the merits of Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
